AL were the Dowell family, headed by Clifton Dowell, who was a nephew of Bolivar. He and his 17-year old daughter both were working in the mill as well.⁸

Her church is between pastors, so the Methodist pastor filled in. She had on a new pink dress and white sweater, and Lillian said she looked "real pretty."³
