Could he have been the child of Letha Bowman, Mahala's sister, who was single and lived next door to Mahala in 1870? Is Foster Parrott supposed to be James Forrester Parrott? He died 3 years before Palo was born.
  Family stories indicate that his father might have been George W. Speck, who was executor of Mahala's parents' will.
  In 1919, can identify Palo definitely living in Joplin, Missouri.
