  • Note: I think that this William Craig of East Texas is Isaac’s uncle, which would make William Craig (Methodist minister) and John Craig (Methodist minister) brothers. Isaac visited his uncle William in East Texas, perhaps about 1852.3
  • Marriage: He married Rebecca Hortense Horton on 15 February 1806.2
  • Occupation: The first record of his appointment in the Methodist church is in Tennessee, serving in the following locations: Stones River, Duck River, and Wolf River from 1831 to 1835 or 1836.4
  • Occupation: His next assignment in Methodism was in Mississippi, where he served in Somerville, Coldwater, Oxford and Holly Springs from 1835 to 1840.4
  • Occupation: He was appointed to the Nacogdoches District in the Texas Mission Conference, and there he held services in the historic Old Stone Fort in 1841 in Nacogdoches, Nacogdoches County, Texas.2
  • Residence: He lived in 1845 in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas, where he established First Methodist Church there.2
  • Note: He was visited by nephew Isaac E. Craig - (from Pauline Hughes) in 1852.3
  • Note: He was chaplain of the TX State Senate in 1857.2
