David Wagoner, who has lived most of his life on Wellesley Island, died in the Brockville hospital Monday at the age of 83 years. He had been ill about a year, and went to the hospital some time ago. Capt. Wagoner came to Alexandria Bay from Montgomery County, where he was born, when he was a young man, and had lived there ever since. For many years he was well known in the Thousand islands, where he operated boats for charter on the St. Lawrence River. He always owned his own boats. The first boat he owned was named The Virginia. His last boat was the Captain Dave Wagoner.
