Note: There is a James Ingles Sr. (and James Ingles Jr.) in Bourbon County KY (taxpayers) in 1800. Might this be her father and brother? Or grandfather and father? Her first son is named James, BTW. Possible dates 1760-1839....these dates belong to a man whose parents might have been Francis Ingle and Sarah Whitaker. If this is the correct father for Margaret, then the Jonathan Whitacre who married Margaret and Robert might have been an uncle or grandfather.
Marriage: She married Robert Russell Hill, son of Enoch Hill and Mary Ann Canterbury, on 16 September 1799 in Bourbon County, Kentucky.¹
Name-Marr: As of 16 September 1799,her married name was Margaret Hill.
Note: Perhaps she died in childbirth with Enoch, since she was deceased before her husband died in 1818 (assuming she was deceased because she is not mentioned in the will and the guarianship of the children is assigned to family friends).
