• Note: His parents might have been John Linebarger and Katherine Miller. In the 1850 census, John Linebarger is living in Catawba Co. North Carolina, age 79, with wife(?) Mary M. age 54. He appears to have been married to the younger wife in 1840 census (Lincoln Co. North Carolina) so perhaps Katherine died before 1840. (Rootsweb says she died by 1834) Katherine's father may have been Nicolas Miller or Martin Miller. Martin Miller was born in Germany in 1731 and was married to Sophia Rintelmann b. 1732 Germany.
• Marriage: He married Annie Perkins on 2 December 1819 in Lincoln Co., North Carolina.³
• Death: He died on 5 July 1849 in Crawford County, Arkansas, at age 50.⁴
